The "MunsterBucks"

As the name suggests, MunsterBucks it's a band of boys from Munster, a province in the South of Ireland. All three boys relocated to Australia and crossed paths in the trad music scene in Brisbane. Featuring Tommy Donovan from Kerry (Banjo and Mandolin) Eddie Nolan form Waterford (Uileenn Pipes, Flute and Whistle) and Jack O Leary from Cork (Vocals, Guitar and Bodhran). Arguably the only all-Irish band in Australia, having collaborated for years they recently made the band official and have already established a name for themselves on the Australian folk scene. While essentially keeping true to their traditional roots, they bring in their own sense of style and also feature songs in a variety of genres. The boys work to create a traditional groove with driving rhythms and memorable melodies. It’s basically three Bucks, who love Ireland and trad music, having a blast and bringing the best of Irish Music to your doorstep.
Jack O’Leary works with a varity of musicans to create folk/Roots  duo that offer the audience a blend of contemporary as well as traditional songs and tunes. The duo have been collaborating for the last few years and whilst they are heavily influenced by the Irish tradition, bring a solid original approach to their musical style.Jack, a proud native of Ireland, reluctantly left its shores 3 years ago and lives here with his wife and two children. When asked to describe their music, their response is that their repertoire has grown out of a love of beautiful melodies; Taking embracing and elaborating and making them part of themselves.Jack has won several awards most notably for the egg and spoon championships when he was in primary school.
