One hundred and fifty words
Jack O'Leary is an Irish-born musician, songwriter, painter and storyteller living in Northern New South Wales. He learned the music at home in Ireland, by ear and in company, and brought it with him to Australia.
He performs solo with voice, guitar and bodhrán; as the duo O'Leary & Rizzalli with Christian Rizzalli; with the band MunsterBucks; and as part of Finding Magic, a four-piece show of Irish music, story and song. His recordings include The Curra Road, Princess Please, Ancient Rain and the O'Leary & Rizzalli EP Live at Hunting Ground.
Alongside the music he paints. Many of the paintings began as songs, and the two run together in a body of work called The Art of the Songs. He also coordinates traditional Irish sessions and programmes musicians into venues across South East Queensland and Northern NSW.
What each format needs
